VVVVVV – I think – is a wonderful love letter to the days of 8-bit gaming. There are actually only eighteen trinkets in Dimension VVVVVV, as one has to be obtained by talking to Vitellary/Victoria, and the other is in the final level. Terry Cavanagh‘s VVVVVV is an extremely smart-but-simple platform/indie game that feels a lot like a Commodore 64 game from the ’80s, although it was actually released in 2010.
